DESCRIPTION:This year we are celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of one of the most notable natives of our town\, Jan Václav Bergl. Municipal Museum in Dvůr  Králové nad Labem is preparing a unique exhibition of paintings of this  top-ranking late Baroque painter in its gallery for the summer months. Besides his Stations of the Cross\, which were originally placed in the local Church of John the Baptist\, visitors will have the chance to admire his other pieces of art devoted not only to his native town but also to other places. A part of the newly restored Orlice Stations of the Cross will offer the visitors a chance to compare both the exhibited works. The exhibition will point out the links of superior Baroque art of composition and grotesque elliptical style which absolutely does not  take away anything from its overall dignity.
