As part of Melk abbey\u2019s summer concerts in 2019 Dr. Andreas Gamerith introduces Johann Wenzel Bergl\u2019s imagery in the garden pavilion on the occasion of the artist\u2019s 300th<\/sup> birthday.<\/p>\n

Why do the exotic mural paintings continue to exert a special fascination today? Who were the artist\u2019s commissioners and whose pictorial dreams did he fulfill? An evening which, with the help of words and music, provides an insight into Bergl\u2019s Baroque delight in telling stories.<\/p>\n
